FAA Approves Aerosonic's New Digital Altimeter

The FAA granted Aerosonic Corporation's new digital altimeter TSO (technical standard order) approval.  The instrument will be standard equipment on Cessna's new Citation Mustang.

Because of its digital technology, Aerosonic says users of its altimeter should expect improved accuracy and reliability when compared to traditional mechanical devices, and OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), like Cessna, should need shorter production lead time.  09-19-2005.
