Etihad Airways Moves to ARINC's Messaging Services
Etihad Airways has awarded ARINC a three-year service contract to
deploy its X.400 IP (Internet protocol)-based message handling system to improve
the airline's current message flow while providing a scalable platform for
future growth.
ARINC's X.400 converts airline message protocols to prevailing
messaging standards, allowing messages to be sent and received over the Internet
or Internet-like networks, such as ARINC's
AviNet.
AviNet carries half of the world's air operational communications, such as Type-B networking, according to
ARINC. 03-02-2008. |
