Environmental Tectonics Releases New Flight Training Software
Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC) has released its latest flight training software that can be used on either its own PCATD (personal computer airplane training devices) or on a desktop computer.
Both systems are available for a variety of popular training aircraft, from single-engine Skyhawks through multi-engine Seminoles and Barons.
ETC's ProTrainer is a family of integrated flight training products designed for a variety of configurations that feature high fidelity graphics, multiple weather and terrain types, 3D playback, customizable flight profiles, flight data recording, and spatial disorientation illusions. Its aircraft modeling and displays use a XML (extensible markup language) open, data-driven system that allows the end user to edit much of the aircraft's flight characteristics, and even add new aircraft types.
According to ETC, ProTrainer has been approved by the FAA for training programs when installed on approved CAT I, II, III and IV PCATD hardware platforms. 01-24-2005.
