Emirates Using New Casses Weather Product

Emirates is using a new Casses meteorology product on its long range flights that provides a mosaic of significant weather images displayed along the route with the ability to zoom in on an area of operation.

Casses' WXS weather briefing and monitoring module gives user airlines around-the-clock access to worldwide weather via the Web, which includes configurable route briefings with its SigWX mosaic charts, produced from BUFR (binary universal form for the representation of meteorological data).

The Netherlands-based company provides airlines with operational and weather information, which it says, can be easily integrated with other systems because of its open, modular design.   02-23-2007.
