Edmo Will Distribute ARINC's GA Aircraft Document Viewer
ARINC has contracted with Edmo Distributors to
handle the wholesale distribution of its eFlyBook document viewer to the
general aviation market.
Edmo, based in Spokane, Washington, is the world's largest distributor
of aircraft electronics, with a network of 9,000 active resellers, according
to ARINC.
EFlyBook combines chart viewing software developed by
MyAirplane.com, with a portable
iLiad eReader, developed and manufactured by iRex Technologies of the
Netherlands, to display en-route charts and other documents.
ARINC eFlyBook's price includes a six-month digital subscription to FAA en-route charts, digital copies of all U.S.
terminal procedures, the U.S. airport facility directory and FAR/AIM (federal air regulation and Aeronautical Information Manual) documents.
While most information can be stored in the unit's built-in memory, additional data and applications can be added via memory cards. A screen
interface retrieves and displays charts and other material, and also can capture a pilot's handwritten notes created by a supplied stylus.
