East Midlands Airport Selects Era for Environmental Management
The Manchester Airport Group has selected Era's wide-area multilateration and ADS-B
(automatic dependent surveillance- broadcast) to initially provide surveillance
information for East Midland's environmental management program, with the option
to extend its use to support surface and terminal air traffic control
operations.
Era has been a pioneer in both air traffic control and environmental applications, which are based on its
MSS multilateration and ADS-B
technologies. Besides deploying the world's first multilateration-based surface
and wide area surveillance solutions for air traffic control, it also claims to
have developed the world's first Web-based noise and operations monitoring
system.
Several of the world's largest airports, including those in Atlanta, New York,
Dallas and Washington, as well as Edinburgh and Glasgow airports in Scotland,
use its airport environment management applications, and others, including
Beijing, Dublin, Copenhagen, Munich and Singapore, use its systems for airport
traffic control purposes. 01-19-2008. |
