EMTEQ Adding Certified Installations: Including RAAS, ADS-B and TAWS
EMTEQ says the FAA is
about to approve several of its new installations, including a RAAS (runway
awareness advisory system) on Boeing 757s and 767s, an ADS-B (automatic
dependent surveillance-broadcast) for Saab 340Bs, and a TAWS (terrain
awareness and warning system) for L-382s (a civilian version of the Lockheed
Martin C-130).
Other soon-to-be available
EMTEQ STCs (supplemental type certificates) include a Universal
Avionics UNS-1L FMS (flight management system) on the Shorts 360, an ELS
(Mode S elementary surveillance) system for B-727s, a 22-channel flight
recorder upgrade, also for B-727s, and EMTEQ's own line of
Elements seat heaters for King Airs.
The Wisconsin-based
avionics and lighting systems integrator already holds more than 30 type
certifications with the FAA, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and
other international certification offices. 05-12-2007. |
