DTN/Meteorlogix Adds Tools for Managing Severe Weather Events

DTN/Meteorlogix has added several new capabilities for managing severe weather events to its online professional version.

New product enhancements for the company's MxVision WeatherSentry online professional edition include:

• A dynamic lightning alerting system that sends out three alerts: an early advisory, an "act now" warning, and an "all clear" signal.

• A time-series animation of lightning activity indicates where severe weather is headed.

• A new graphical display of regional lightning intensity that provides additional context to where the most severe electrical storms are present.

• More local weather information.

• Commentary on current and long-term weather from DTN meteorologists and product managers.
