DFS Selects Era System for Surface Surveillance at Hamburg
Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), Germany's ANSP (air navigation service provider), has
selected Era to provide multilateration surface surveillance for Hamburg's
planned A-SMGCS (advanced surface movement guidance and control system).
Hamburg's A-SMGCS will fuse tracking data from Era's
MSS multilateration and ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast)
ground stations to provide extended coverage of runways, taxiways and aprons in
all weather conditions, while also improving the automation of aircraft identification.
Era says some of the world's busiest airports in the world use its surveillance systems, including Beijing,
Kuala Lumpur, Copenhagen, Oslo and Munich. 02-21-2008. |
