COMSOFT Delivers ADS-B Message Software to Eurocontrol
COMSOFT says it has
delivered a new version of software for its RMCDE (radar message
conversion and distribution equipment) to Eurocontrol for final testing
before being released to other interested users.
The first field
installation of COMSOFT's
RMCDE - for test purposes - was completed for the Hellenic Civil
Aviation Authority (HCAA) last October in Athens. Ground stations
currently are being installed at the Athens airport as well as
connections to the ACC (area control center) and ARTAS (advanced radar
tracker and server). These steps will allow Eurocontrol, along with HCAA
and the Eurocontrol Experimental Centre to begin the next phase of ADS-B
trials in Mediterranean air space.
According to COMSOFT,
this comprehensive software package supports not only ADS-B but all
kinds of conventional surveillance radar systems including Mode-S (mode
"select" secondary surveillance radar). 02-22-2007. |
