Avidyne and S-TEC Get STC for Alliant Flight Deck on Conquest II
The FAA has awarded Avidyne
Corporation and S-TEC Corporation a STC (supplemental type certificate) to
retrofit an integrated flight deck into Cessna Conquest IIs.
The Conquest II is the third model that combines Avidyne's
Envision series of retrofit integrated
products and
S-TEC's IntelliFlight 2100 digital flight
control system, joining the King Air 90 and 200 series.
The Alliant Integrated Flight Deck for the Conquest II includes dual-redundant Avidyne EXP5000 10.4-inch PFDs
(primary flight displays) and an Avidyne EX500 MFD (multi-function display), the
IntelliFlight 2100 autopilot, and
Mid-Continent 2-inch standby instruments. The package also comes standard with Avidyne's CMax electronic charts and the
ability to interface with an optional
MLB700 broadcast datalink receiver.
Avidyne's
TAS600 traffic advisory system is also
installed on the certification airplane.
CMax electronic charts display Jeppesen's
approach charts and airport diagrams on the EX500 MFD, and the MLB700 provides
datalinked WSI InFlight weather service via the SIRIUS satellite radio network.
The MLB700 and TAS600 options are offered at a discounted price with the purchase of the integrated flight
deck package. 01-08-2008. |
