Aviation Records Corporation Introducing Trip-Management Software
Aviation Records
Corporation is introducing a new multi-user, Web-based trip-management
software application, specifically designed for on-demand air carriers, to
price, dispatch, and manage their operations, including debriefings.
The company's product,
dubbed
MachNumber, runs entirely within a standard Internet browser session
while supporting multiple simultaneous users from multiple locations. It
has no set-up fee, requires no minimum service commitment, and no additional
software or hardware investment. Once granted access, air carrier employees,
air carrier customers, and FAA Inspectors can access a single set of
real-time air carrier data from any Internet-connected computer at any time. Access is tightly and exclusively controlled by air carrier management,
however, and trip records (including pilot flight and duty time reporting)
are maintained in a secure on-line database.
According to Aviation
Records, on-demand air carriers typically use a non-integrated collection of
desktop and Web applications to manage their flying. But, it claims that
competing packages weren't specifically designed for on-demand operations,
and usually require an expensive set-up, and lengthy service commitments
with monthly fees.
For a limited time, the
company says it is offering MachNumber for a monthly subscription fee of $79
per month. For carriers who desire access to only the pricing and dispatch
applications, a partial subscription package of $25 per month is also
available. 02-03-2006.
