All Weather, Inc. to Provide AWOS for ADS-B Sites

ITT Corporation has selected All Weather, Inc. (AWI) to supply 62 AWOS (automated weather observing systems) that will be co-located with ITT's ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) ground stations on oil drilling platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and various sites in Alaska.

Thirty-seven of the AWI turn-key AWOS installations will be in the Gulf and the remaining 25 will be installed at various Alaskan locations.

AWOS is part of ITT's contract with the FAA to create the ADS-B ground system that will be a major part of America's NextGen air traffic management system.  03-18-2008.
