Alakai and CAPACG to Develop FDM to Support GA FOQA
SATSAir will equip its fleet of Cirrus SR22 air taxis with an
all-in-one predictive FDM (flight data monitoring) system from Alakai
Technologies and CAPACG that is capable of supporting a FOQA (flight operations
quality assurance) program.
The Alakai/CAPACG FDM system includes engine trend monitoring, an
Internet-accessible digital flight data recorder with an automatic wireless
Internet link, and data analysis services. The two companies say they jointly
designed and developed the FDM system to support a full FAA-approved FOQA
program that could be used by GA (general aviation) operators and small
corporate fleets.
Alakai Technologies already had developed an
ETMS (engine trend monitoring system) in response to an FAA requirement for
SATSair's air taxis. That ETMS is now part of the partner's
GA-FDM system. 03-18-2008. |
