AirCell to Offer SwiftBroadband for Business Aircraft in Late 2008 AirCell says it will offer a SwiftBroadband product for the business aviation market that will provide global inflight voice and data connectivity, at up to 432 kbps (kilobits per second) per channel. The product will be sold as a modular add-on to AirCell's Axxess cabin communication system, and will become available initially across the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia, following the launch of the third Inmarsat-4 satellite. (See related story.) It will be powered by Thrane & Thrane, and sold through AirCell's worldwide network of dealers and distributors. 10-08-2007. |
