AirAsia to Launch OnAir's Mobile Communications Services in Asia AirAsia will be the first airline in Asia to deploy OnAir's mobile communications services. The service will be introduced by the airline in early 2009, and will be available across its A320 fleet that will reach 150 aircraft in 2013. In addition, AirAisa's new AirAsia X venture, a long-haul low-cost airline, will offer its passengers OnAir's communications services on its newly ordered A330s. OnAir in-flight mobile phone and related email services was just approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). 06-23-2007. |
