Air China Selects Rockwell Collins' Avionics for 49 Aircraft
Air China has selected
Rockwell Collins's radar-based hazard detection system and other avionics
for 25 B-737NGs and 24 A320 family aircraft it will begin receiving this
fall.
Rockwell Collins says its
fully automatic, hands-free
MultiScan WXR-2100 is the first and only radar that analyzes and
determines actual weather hazards, not simply atmospheric moisture content,
out to 320 nautical miles.
Air China also selected
Rockwell Collins'
GLU-925 MMR (multi-mode receiver) that integrates the aircraft's
satellite-based position and time, along with velocity for future precision
landing functionality while maintaining ground-based instrument landing
system capability.
In addition, the airline
chose Rockwell Collins' VHF-2100 data radio,
ADF-900
automatic direction finder,
DME-900 distance measuring equipment,
HFS-900D high frequency system with its CPL-920D coupling unit, and the
VOR-900 VHF omnidirectional radio. 05-17-2007. |
