Air Canada Using Lufthansa Systems' Weight and Balance System

Lufthansa Systems has implemented its LoadControl weight and balance system at Air Canada, following a three-step migration process, and is now using the system at all of its 125 stations worldwide.

LoadControl allows Air Canada operational personnel at its Toronto headquarters to prepare routine load documentation, while coordinating with the departure station, with LoadControl's "WABLink" thin-client application.

Lufthansa says the application offers a role-specific view for load planners, ramp agents and other user groups, and has also been connected, for the first time, via middleware to neighboring systems such as flight dispatch and check-in.

LoadControl is part of Lufthansa Systems' IOCC (integrated operations control center) platform that can be integrated with other applications such as Systems' NetLine/Ops and NetLine/Crew.  Systems' Lido flight operations and flight schedule data can also be integrated.
