Air Canada Selects Kronos Crew Planning System

Air Canada has selected a new crew planning implementation from Kronos to automate its pilot scheduling and complement its current Kronos pilot bidding system.

The airline will use the Kronos Altitude MPP (manpower planning) application to leverage its use of Altitude PBS (preferential bidding system) to enhance the value of both planning and cost efficiencies as well as employee satisfaction.

Altitude MPP gives crew controllers the ability to manage the entire manpower planning spectrum from one central environment and reduce tedious and lengthy data collection processes.  The standard product also has an option which allows crewmembers to participate in the scheduling process by submitting their bids for transition between categories and their preferred training dates.  04-02-2008.
