ARINC Partnering with SecureTRANSIT for Border Control Notifications
ARINC has agreed to a
partnership that allows it to integrate SecureTRANSIT's APIS (advance
passenger information system) software into its ARINC Direct operational
applications to make it easier for its business aviation customers to submit
government-required crew and passenger data for flights entering or leaving
the United States, Canada or Mexico.
The partnership was
formalized in late 2006 and the integration should to be completed in early
2007.
The agreement includes
SecureTRANSIT's
APIScontrol, an automated, Web-based application that collects,
validates, and submits APIS data and
APISadvisor, a reconciliation application that deciphers and records
returned APIS receipts, and advises if the transmission needs further
attention.
SecureTRANSIT began
developing its system in response to a post-911 requirement to submit full
APIS reports in a UN/EDFACT (United Nations electronic data interchange for
administration, commerce, and transport) format for these international
flights.
SecureTRANSIT also offers
hosted airline software products including
CrewOpscontrol for automated crew planning, and
SysOpscontrol for operational control and passenger reservation
functions. 01-06-2007. |
