ARINC Direct Adds Flight Planning Capability for Mobile Devices ARINC Direct is adding wireless mobile flight planning to its portfolio of services for business jet operators. ARINC Direct Mobile is intended for pilots and flight departments who want to create and submit flight plans using a portable BlackBerry or other personal wireless device. Customers can create and file flight plans, view their planned route of flight with weather radar overlays, update a departure time, retrieve text weather, or view the status of flight plans in their account. They can also create, and fax or email a trip kit. ARINC says Direct Mobile is available immediately, and offers most of the features of ARINC's standard Web-enabled flight planning service. 10-04-2007. |
